DocketPeak / Individual billing rates

Different people.
The right rate for their work.

Give attorneys, paralegals and other staff their own hourly and service rates. Access follows account role and permissions, while each new billing entry retains the person and rate used.

Configured around your firm’s services, people and processes.

The workflow, considered

Rates that reflect your team.

01 / EXPLORE

Set the person’s rates

Eligible team members use My billing rates. Firm owners and administrators with rate-management permission can manage staff profiles and professional types.

02 / CONNECT

Apply the appropriate rate

A written matter-specific override takes priority. Otherwise, the person’s service rate or hourly rate applies, followed by the firm default when no individual rate is set.

03 / REVIEW

Keep the billing record clear

New work records the timekeeper and rate used for that entry. Review the attribution in billing and invoice output; changing a rate later does not rewrite earlier entries.

A closer look

A firm standard, with room for individual practice.

Maintain firm defaults while allowing permitted individual rates for different attorneys, paralegals and staff. Staff can update their own profile where their permissions allow; firm-wide management remains with authorized administrators.

  • Individual hourly and service rates.
  • Account roles and permissions govern editing.
  • Matter overrides take priority over individual and firm defaults.
  • Timekeeper attribution on new billing entries.
  • Existing charges keep their original rate.

Before you explore

Will changing a rate recalculate older charges?

No. The saved entry retains its original rate and timekeeper. Updated rates apply to new work according to the matter override, individual service rate, individual hourly rate and firm-default order.
